Now, I'm not telling you to whore your art into a million groups! That would be ridiculous. However, I have seen some deviants who dump their art into 10-20+ groups to just get popular and have more page views, and it works. Usually, the art is in the cliche Chibi or Anime style. Hell, even Wind Waker style is like that! I feel like doing so is like shoving your art into someone's face. I think, rather than doing so, your talents, skills,or messages (in the case of Stamps) need to be discovered and recognized as pure style, talent, wit, etc...

Let's take an example.

First up, this person has submitted into 30 groups and got about 70 favorites.

Second, another person has submitted into 6 groups and got about 30 favorites.

Which person has the higher average?

1)The average is around 0.43 for each group.
2)The average is 5 for each group.

Do you see my point?

I post my art into 100-125+ groups.

It's not whoring your pics out. It's basically using the tools this site has given to help spread your art. There's millions of artists on this site and billions of pictures submitted.
Without the groups, your art will just blend in. If you want your art to get noticed in this ocean of art, you'll have to REALLY spread that shit out. How to do that? Groups. LOTS of groups.
